I am not a huge gamer and I was able to rent this game for 24 hours and beat it on the easiest level. For the "X"'s first Bond title it was a decent start, but left much to be desired. The story was bogus and the sound was lame. Controlwise it was alright, but nothing special. Graphicwise, I expected more from X-box, and I expected Bond to look like Bond (Pierce or Sean, but not a combo of both). However, while I expected a powered-up version of Goldeneye (still the best Bond game), I was disappointed, greatly disappointed. Overall: I am a huge bond fan, so I had to check this game out. You couldn't add your own soundtrack, which was somewhat dissapointing, especially since there was really no need to listen to the game soudns. Sound: Nothing great, the music was Bond music so if your into that then I guess it was ok. Inviroments were cool, but characters were quite lame looking once you got close. The reason this game failed in the single player was that you just couldn't get interested in the game. The normal shooting mode was good though, as it was pretty good action wise. The roof top shooting was ok, but hard, as your had to constantly keep turning around, and you never knew who was shooting at you and where they were.

The driving was pretty lame, the only plus was that the city had tons of streets so you could choose your own route. Gameplay: Gameplay was split into three sections, driving, shooting and moving, and shooting from the top of a car, while it moved. The Multi-player was fun though, and after a while that's all I played. Overall: The single player mode was dissapointing, you just lost interest in it. But take some cues from Goldeneye and include more movie series specific extras and ulockables in the future. Suggestions: Haven't played Nightfire but heard it was better than this game, so I may have to check it out. Good surround and environmental noises up the experience. Sound: Great themes, voices while clear are not overly great, but driving levels sound great. Yet levels having some clipping and ambiguous layout can be tough to navigate. Graphics: Good affects, varied henchmen and bosses, gadgets and vehicles done well with xbox graphics. Controls in both modes ok, orecision aiming can be tough though. Plus tearing through european towns in the Aston Martin is too good to pass up. Gameplay: The varied mission types, vehicles and FPS make this a good blend. This game does well, but could use some updates and better plot.

Overall: I'm a big fan of the 007 movies, and Goldeneye was a milestone in its day.
